Dark Night Of The Soul is a music and art project instigated and helmed by Brian Burton aka Danger Mouse (1/2 of Gnarls Barkley, Broken Bells) in collaboration with Mark Linkous aka Sparklehorse and a host of guest vocalists including David Lynch who also provided a visual narrative to the record. The project was originally released as a book compendium of Lynch’s photos with an audio CD. This was followed by an official multi-format release and limited edition box set.
Dark Night Of The Soul now stands as a tribute to Sparklehorse and is dedicated to the memory of Vic Chesnutt, both having sadly passed away since this album was recorded.
