Yu Sato – Exhibition in London

The first formal exhibition of Yu Sato’s new work is on now at Tapped & Packed Gallery, 26 Rathbone Place from 14th April – 14th June 2011 and includes his artwork from videos such as this one for Themselves.

Yu Sato is a London based artist, working across media including painting, sculpture, installations and live shows. He’s best known in a Lex context as an animator and director working with Adam Drucker (aka Doesone), Alan Moore & Mitch Jenkins. He also won a British Animation Award for the video ‘Swanmeat‘ by Subtle.

The show features a range of Yu’s paintings from 2010 onwards alongside oil paintings by Ana Kazaroff and Lucas Kull’s special charity poster for Japan. The opening night will be celebrated on 14 April with a special performance from Yu’s nostalgic accordion and tuba duo Amapola.
